The speaker, Dr. Supi Yeoh will attempt to answer the billion ringgit question asked by many: how did the economic downturn in China affected the ASEAN region? More importantly, how did Malaysia cope with China’s economic downturn? What are the opportunities? When China’s economy “sneezes”, will Malaysia’s economy be catching a “cold”?

Dr. Supi Yeoh has previously served at senior level in development banking and in his family business. However, since the mid-2000s he turned academician with focus on teaching and researching in corporate and financial services law. He holds first-level degrees in economics, marketing, and law from the University of London. Dr. Yeoh also has an MBA from the Asian Institute of Management (AIM), a Postgraduate Certificate in Education, an Advanced Diploma in Business Consultancy from Henley Management College, and a Master of Laws with distinction. He also holds a Doctorate in Corporate and Financial Services Law. He has authored no less than twenty peer-review articles, three book chapters and three books.
